Fallen Anarchs
2016 (Battle of Mid-City) Final Deaths
Amaryllis “Ryllie” DeCuir
Lineage: 9th gen. childe of Veronica Alsten-Pirrie
Embrace: 2012
Final Death: 2016 (4 years undead)
Status: Anarch •, Camarilla 0, Toreador •
Coterie: Golds ••
Ryllie was a jazz singer and recent graduate from Xavier University who caught her sire’s eye while performing at the Spotted Cat. She was talented enough, though prettier than she was talented: that was enough to catch her sire’s eye, and Veronica Embraced her in a fit of passion. The two remained close enough over the following years, which was its own achievement on Ryllie’s end given her sire’s temperament, but that changed following the 2015 scandal with John Harley Matheson: word on the street is that he fed on Ryllie like she was kine and blood bound her so that she enjoyed it and begged for more. Veronica abandoned her childe out of disgust and Ryllie remained loyal to the Hardliner-allied Anarchs after the factional split. She met final death during the 2016 Battle of Mid-City.
Coco Duquette
Lineage: 8th gen. childe of William Starkweather
Embrace: 1792
Final Death: 2016 (224 years undead)
Status: Anarch ••••, Brujah ••••, Camarilla ••••
Coterie: Cabildo ••••, the princely contenders
Coco Duquette is Clan Brujah’s primogen, the co-regent of Mid-City, and the closest thing the Anarchs have to a leader. Embraced during the French Revolution, she believes that change is best effected by working peacefully within the system and is a long-time ally of Prince Vidal’s. She has won a number of gains for the unbound over the years, though her influence has taken a hit since the Trial of John Harley Matheson. She was slain during the 2016 Battle of Mid-City, following which Anarch support for Vidal crumbled.
Hezekiah “Hez” Santana
Lineage: 12th gen. childe of Alexander Wright
Embrace: 2010
Final Death: 2016 (6 years undead)
Status: Anarch ••, Brujah •, Camarilla 0, Hardline Sanctified 0
A born-again preacher for the not-quite damned, Hezekiah was a former boxer, occasional alcoholic, and Baptist minister who Wright Embraced to simultaneously punish and reward for the violence he committed against perceived sinners. Sire and childe got along well enough, at first. Then during the 2011 Cypress Grove Massacre, Hezekiah refused to participate in the sheriff’s mass slaughter of Anarch thin-bloods, and helped several escape to safety. He was banished from New Orleans. During 2016, he fought in the Battle of Mid-City on the Baron’s side: it turned out he’d been continuing to hide in the city (almost certainly with Cimitière’s protection) for five years. He met final death at Coco Duquette’s hands.
Micheal Kelly
Lineage: 9th gen. childe of Coco Duquette
Embrace: 1904
Final Death: 2016 (112 years undead)
Status: Anarch 0, Brujah 0, Camarilla 0
Micheal Kelly is Clan Brujah’s paper tiger. An OMC biker and World War II veteran who fought the Nazis in Europe (as a vampire), many of Kelly’s clanmates considered him a “badass” until the 2015 release of photographs that depicted him being gang-raped at the hands of Bobbi Jo Boggs’ biker gang, who also burned down his bar in Mid-City. It was Micheal’s lack of retaliation, however, that truly cemented his present reputation as a pushover. He spends his nights at Veronica Alsten-Pirrie’s side, who was once his lover but now mainly torments and abuses him for her own (and her other lovers’) amusement. Rumor claims she’s removed his cock and makes him wear a dress, but after turning against his sire in the 2015 Anarch split he has nowhere else to go. Most Kindred think he made up those stories about fighting in World War II. He was slain during the 2016 Battle of the Arts District.
Roderick Durant
Lineage: 9th gen. childe of Coco Duquette
Embrace: 2010
Final Death: 2016 (6 years undead)
Status: Anarch ••, Brujah •, Camarilla •
Coterie: Golds •••
A criminal lawyer Embraced just after passing the bar exam, Roderick serves as “chief of staff” to his sire Coco when he’s by her side, and bails his fellow Anarchs’ ghouls and mortal associates out of legal trouble when he’s not. He’s also the scribe (official note-taker) for the city’s primogen council, one of the most envious positions for a neonate to hold. Despite his privilege and exposure to some of the city’s most cynical and machiavellian power actors, though, Roderick retains a decidedly idealistic streak and wants the Anarchs to push for greater rights of self-determination within Mid-City. He’s locked horns with his more pragmatic “work within the system” sire more than once, and their impassioned debates remain a crowd favorite during the Movement’s meetings. He disappeared during the 2016 Battle of Mid-City alongside his sire and is presumed to have met final death at her killer’s hands.
2016 (Pre-Battle of Mid-City) Final Deaths
Desirae Wells
Lineage: Unknown
Embrace: 2013
Final Death: 2016 (3 years undead)
Status: Anarch ••, Caitiff −, Camarilla •
Coterie: Night Axels ••
Desirae Wells has total amnesia. She claims to remembers nothing of her mortal life or the circumstances of her Embrace during Mardi Gras several years ago, and often wanders the city seeking anything to spark her lost memories. She’s regarded as an amusing curiosity by many Kindred and has leveraged that perception into some modicum of status: while the local Camarilla elders won’t ever respect her, they see her as harmless and even tolerate her showing her face in Elysium. She’s perhaps the city’s most respected Caitiff, which together with her lack of political ties and skill at putting people at ease, led the Anarchs to make her their covenant’s representative and envoy in 2014. Wells herself runs with Shep Jennings’ krewe of Anarchs and often counsels the younger members towards greater restraint in their behavior.
Since the Anarchs’ factional split in 2015, Wells has walked a careful line trying to stay neutral between Coco’s and Veronica’s camps. Later that year, Caroline Malveaux-Devillers managed to uncover much of her mortal identity (including her birth name, though she’s decided to keep using ‘Desirae Wells’), though the circumstances of her Embrace remain a mystery—as does how she forgot her entire past.
Isabelle “Isa” Suarez
Lineage: 11th gen. childe of Marcus Pollard
Embrace: 2011
Final Death: 2016 (5 years undead)
Status: Anarch •, Camarilla 0, Ravnos 0
Coterie: Night Axels •
A petty criminal illegally Embraced in an act of passion, Isa was granted permission to dwell in New Orleans by Philip Maldonato after she betrayed her sire to the Guard de Ville. Isa fell in with Shep Jennings’ krewe of Anarchs and did nothing of particular note with her Requiem until 2016, when she baited Rocco Agnello into physically attacking her at Elysium. This action caused the hound great shame and loss of face, and almost certainly would have resulted in his exile from the city were he not a valued agent in Vidal’s service. Isa was torn to shreds shortly thereafter by Agnello’s feared sire, Caitlin Meadows. Her final death was mourned by few.
Nico Cimpreon
Lineage: 11th gen. childe of Leon “8-Ball” White
Embrace: 1988
Final Death: 2016 (28 years undead)
Status: Anarch Movement ••, Bourbon Sanctified •, Camarilla 0, Lasombra •
Coteries: Leviathan Committee ••, OXR •••
Born in Miami, Nico quickly became disillusioned with society’s idea of justice when his old man and a handful of other cops got off with nothing more than a slap on the wrist after they bludgeoned a black man to death. After the Miami Riots of 1980 Nico headed out to California, where he fell in with a drug smuggler who turned out to be a lick. His subsequent Embrace had him heading back to Miami before settling in New Orleans shortly after Katrina. He fell in with Antoine Savoy despite (or perhaps because of) his Anarch tendencies, scoffing at the idea of the Movement bowing and scraping to a prince for paltry handouts. He viewed those who’d let a Ventrue put them on their knees with contempt. Nico’s natural charisma might have made him a valuable asset to Veronica Alsten-Pirrie once she defected to Savoy’s camp since she didn’t seem interested in running any rants, but he disappeared in early 2011, long before the split. Nico returned to the city in 2016, where he fought against Sheriff Donovan during the Battle of Mt. Carmel and met final death. It came out afterwards that he was Lasombra; he’d long been presumed to be Caitiff.
2015 Final Deaths
Bliss Jackson
Lineage: 12th gen. childe of Jaime Castillano
Embrace: 2010
Final Death: 2015 (5 years undead)
Status: Anarch •, Brujah •, Camarilla 0
Coterie: Eight-Nine-Six •••
An angry young woman and perennial malcontent, Bliss Jackson was the leader of Eight-Nine-Six, one of Mid-City’s more violent Anarch gangs. She and her coterie-mates were executed during the 2016 Trial of John Harley Matheson for violations of the Masquerade.

2005 Final Deaths
Annie Pope
Lineage: 8th gen. childe of unknown sire
Embrace: 1813
Final Death: 2005 (192 years undead)
Status: Anarch •••, Bourbon Sanctified •••, Brujah ••••, Camarilla ••
A former slave Embraced on an Antebellum plantation, Annie came to New Orleans because of its large free black population and either appropriated or inspired the local legend of Annie Christmas. True to its accounts, Annie was one of the physically strongest vampires and most brutal fighters in the city. Initially allied to Baron Cimitière, her ties to the city’s black community gave her considerable influence over its Reconstruction-era government. She allied with Roger Halliburton during his period of ascendancy, but crossed over to Vidal’s side at Coco Duquette’s behest. She soon grew dissatisfied with the prince and spent the next century moving between Coco, the Baron, and Antoine Savoy before settling in the French Quarter lord’s camp. For all her physical prowess, she was less politically astute than other elders, who were largely successful in manipulating her towards their own ends. Hurricane Katrina proved the one obstacle she couldn’t destroy with brute force.
Barthélemy Lafon
Lineage: 7th gen. childe of Pearl Chastain
Embrace: 1820
Final Death: 2005 (185 years undead)
Status: Anarch Movement •••, Camarilla •••, Toreador ••••
As a rule, the Kindred do not like to Embrace famous mortals. Barthélemy Lafon was a notable exception. In life, he was a Creole architect, engineer, city planner, and surveyor who designed much of the Lower Garden District, an act that won him the adoration of the early city’s Toreador. Secretly, he was also a privateer, smuggler, pirate, and associate of Jean Lafitte’s. He was Embraced by Pearl Chastain after he contracted yellow fever, who could not bear to let him die so ignoble a death. No stranger to living a double life as a mortal, Barthélemy continued his Requiem in largely the same vein. To mortals, he was underworld kingpin who trafficked in drugs and smuggled goods (thanks to his connections to his brother-in-blood Accou, who ran the Port of New Orleans). Among the Kindred, he continued to win acclaim as an architect. He alternately designed and restored numerous havens, historic sites, and Elysium venues, including multiple clubs of Sundown’s. He admired Antoine Savoy’s style, but pirate that he was, freely did business (artistic and criminal) with Prince Vidal’s and the French Quarter lord’s supporters. Many Kindred believed he was waiting to throw in with the winning side. After his sire rose from torpor in the ’70s, he judged her a spent force and promptly abandoned the Invictus for the Anarch Movement. The Anarchs always admired him for his past as a pirate anyway. He met final death while fleeing to Houston during Hurricane Katrina and was mourned by many, including his protégés and sometime lovers Veronica Alsten-Pirrie and Pietro Silvestri. Bringing up his destruction can still make them angry.

Francois Nicholas Du Valle
Lineage: Unknown
Embrace: Late 17th century
Final Death: 1815 (~100 years undead)
Status: Anarch •••, Camarilla 0, Malkavian •••
Little is remembered of this Malkavian save that he was one of the chief instigators of the final armed revolts against Vidal’s early reign. He was aided in this effort by Emmanuel Costa, the prince’s own childe. The two rebels and their conspirators were apprehended and executed. It’s unknown what turned Costa against his sire, but Du Valle is widely suspected to have played a part.
